Using content analysis within a descriptive-analytical framework, the present study examines Yousef Alikhani’s novel Widow-Killing from an ecocritical perspective. In this work, ecocritical manifestations are embedded in the fabric of local culture, indigenous rituals, social behaviors, and political structures. The narrative centers on the fate of a rural woman who, under the traditions governing her habitat and community, is compelled to enter a succession of forced marriages with brothers who die one after another. The narrative structure demonstrates how nature and indigenous beliefs exert a profound influence on the lives of the characters and, conversely, how human beings affect ecological cycles. This study seeks to elucidate, through the lens of literary criticism, the delicate balance between human needs and environmental sustainability.</p> <p>نقد بوم ‌گرایانه رویکردی میان ‌رشته‌ای است که به بازکاوی پیوندهای ناگسستنی میان متن ادبی و بستر فیزیکی و فرهنگی زیست ‌بوم می ‌پردازد و کنش‌های متقابل انسان و محیط پیرامون را واکاوی می ‌کند. پژوهش حاضر با روش تحلیل محتوا و رویکرد توصیفی-تحلیلی، رمان «بیوه ‌کشی» نوشته ‌ی یوسف علیخانی را از منظر بوم‌گرایی زیر ذره ‌بین قرار داده است. در این اثر، نمودهای بوم‌گرایانه در تاروپود فرهنگ، آیین‌های محلی، رفتارهای اجتماعی و ساختارهای سیاسی بازتاب یافته ‌اند. محور روایت، سرنوشت زنی روستایی است که سنت‌های حاکم بر زیستگاهش او را به ازدواج‌های اجباریِ پی‌درپی با برادرانی وامی‌دارد که یکی پس از دیگری جان می ‌بازند. بافت روایی نشان می ‌دهد که چگونه طبیعت و باورهای بومی بر زیست شخصیت‌ها پنجه افکنده ‌اند و در سوی مقابل، انسان نیز بر چرخه ‌های اکولوژیک اثرگذار است. این پژوهش در پی آن است تا تعادل ظریف میان نیازهای انسانی و پایداری محیط زیست را از دریچه ‌ی نقد ادبی تبیین کند.</p> https://www.jtpll.com/index.php/jtpll/article/download/478/285
