A review of the scholarly literature concerning the shaṭḥiyyāt of Bayazid Bastami reveals that most studies have focused on content-based interpretation, the elucidation of mystical dimensions, or the theological acceptance or rejection of these statements. Comparatively little attention has been devoted to examining the linguistic–semantic mechanisms and discursive systems that generate these extraordinary forms of expression. This theoretical gap motivated the present study to employ a discursive semiotic–semantic framework in order to revisit and analyze the process of meaning production within the shaṭḥiyyāt of Bayazid. The central research question concerns the discursive mechanisms and semiotic–semantic functions through which Bayazid’s shaṭḥiyyāt have generated their seemingly paradoxical yet profound semantic system. The study hypothesizes that shaṭḥiyyāt should not be understood as isolated and irrational utterances; rather, they operate within a dynamic discursive system through processes such as suspension, intense opposition, and semiotic–semantic tension. Functioning as indexical and manifestational signs, they facilitate a transition from conventional meanings toward the domain of the sacred. This study adopts a descriptive–analytical methodology and focuses on textual examples drawn from the shaṭḥiyyāt attributed to Bayazid Bastami. The findings indicate that Bayazid, through a heterogenizing approach and by employing semiotic–semantic processes of aesthetic formation and rupture from the conventional world, advanced mystical discourse to the threshold of semiotic disintegration and established a unique event-based order in which language liberates itself from the erosion of meaning. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that shaṭḥ is more than a form of linguistic audacity; it constitutes an epistemological mechanism for expressing the unknowable through the dismantling of the existing semiotic system.</p> <p>شطحیات، به‌عنوان برجسته‌ترین جلوه‌های گفتمان آشفتۀ عرفانی، با شکستن مرزهای زبان متعارف، بیانگر مستقیم‌ترین تجارب مکاشفه‌ای عارف هستند. با مرور پیشینۀ پژوهشی مرتبط با شطحیات بایزید بسطامی، مشهود است که بیشتر مطالعات، معطوف به تفسیر محتوایی، تبیین ساحت‌های عرفانی یا ردّ و قبول شرعی این گزاره‌ها بوده و کمتر پژوهشی به تحلیل سازوکارهای زبانی ـ معناشناختی و نظام گفتمانیِ موجد این صور خارق‌العادۀ سخن پرداخته است. این خلأ نظری، پژوهش حاضر را بر آن داشت تا با به‌کارگیریِ الگوی نشانه ـ معناشناسی گفتمانی، به بازخوانی و واکاوی فرآیند تولید معنا در شطحیات بایزید بپردازد. پرسش اصلی این است که شطحیات بایزید تحت تأثیر کدام سازوکارهای گفتمانی و با چه کارکردهای نشانه ـ معناشناختی، توانسته است نظام معناییِ به‌ظاهر پارادوکسیکال و ژرف خود را پدید آورد؟ فرضیۀ تحقیق بر این مبناست که شطحیات، نه به­مثابه گزاره‌هایی گسسته و نامعقول، بلکه در چارچوب یک سامانۀ پویای گفتمانی و از مجرای فرآیندهایی مانند تعلیق، تقابل شدید و فشار نشانه ـ معناشناسی عمل کرده و در جایگاه نشانه‌های نمایه‌ای و تجلّی‌گر، زمینه را برای گذار از معانی قراردادی به ساحت امر قدسی فراهم می‌سازند. این پژوهش به روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی و با تمرکز بر مصادیق متنی از شطحیات منسوب به بایزید بسطامی انجام شده است. یافته‌ها حاکی از آن است که بایزید با استفاده از رویکردی ناهمسان‌گرایانه و از طریق فرآیندهای نشانه ـ معناشناختیِ شکل‌گیری زیبایی‌شناختی و گسست از دنیای قراردادی، گفتمان عرفانی را تا مرز فروپاشی نشانه‌ای پیش برده و نظم رخدادی منحصربه‌فردی را بنیان نهاده است که در آن، زبان، خود را از فرسودگی معنا می‌رهاند. در نهایت، این مطالعه نشان می‌دهد که شطح، فراتر از یک جسارت زبانی، نوعی سازوکار معرفت‌شناختی برای بیان ناشناختنی‌ها از طریق فروشکستن نظام نشانه‌ای موجود است.</p> https://www.jtpll.com/index.php/jtpll/article/download/396/329
