In contemporary Arabic literature, Ahmad Shawqi and Taha Hussein are regarded as two prominent figures whose works occupy a distinguished position in the history of Arabic literature. The literary relationship between these two figures is particularly significant from the perspective of poetic criticism. One of the most important poets criticized by Taha Hussein, toward whom he directed sharp and at times hostile opinions, was Ahmad Shawqi. Taha Hussein’s criticism of Shawqi’s poetry contains rhetorical, historical, and Western-oriented perspectives. From Hussein’s viewpoint, many poems written by his contemporaries, including those of Shawqi, were unacceptable because of their insufficient familiarity with Western literature. Among the criticisms he directed at Shawqi were his imitation of classical poets, his use of certain literary and rhetorical techniques, and his lack of a coherent poetic vision. In this article, through an examination of the lives, works, and literary characteristics of these two figures, as well as the nature of their relationship, one of Taha Hussein’s critiques of Ahmad Shawqi’s poetry has been analyzed as a case study.</p> <p>نقد ادبی دانشی برای بررسی ویژگی‌ها و تفسیر نقاط قوت و ضعف یک اثر ادبی و تحلیل و ارزیابی آن است که تأثیر به سزایی در پیشرفت و انحطاط ادبیات دارد. در ادیبات معاصر عرب احمد شوقی و طه حسین از چهر‌ه‌های برجسته به شمار می‌روند آثار هرکدام جایگاه شایسته‌ای در تاریخ ادبیات عرب داشته است. روابط ادبی بین این دو از جهت نقد شعر حائز اهمیت است. یکی از مهمترین شاعرانی که طه حسین به نقد او پرداخت و نظرات تند وتیز و گاهی خصومت آمیز خود را نثار وی کرد احمد شوقی بود. نقد طه حسین بر شعر شوقی حاوی نکاتی بلاغی، تاریخی و رویکردی غربگراست که بسیاری از اشعار معاصرین وی از جمله شوقی، به دلیل عدم آشنایی با ادبیات غرب، از وجهه نظر وی مقبول نبوده است واز جمله اشکالاتی که بر شوقی می‌گیرد تقلید او از شاعران گذشته بوده و در خصوص کاربرد برخی فنون ادبی وبلاغی و نداشتن اندیشه شعری مدون نیز شوقی را مورد تخطئه قرار می‌دهد.  در این مقاله با نگاهی به زندگی، آثار و ویژگی‌های ادبی این دو شخصیت و رابطه‌ی آنان با یکدیگر، به صورت موردی یکی از نقدهای طه حسین را بر شعر احمد شوقی مورد بررسی قرار دادیم.</p> https://www.jtpll.com/index.php/jtpll/article/download/360/231
