This article, focusing on four novels—Emma and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, and Jane Eyre and Villette by Charlotte Brontë—examines how love functions as a catalyst for self-recognition, the formation of female identity, and the enhancement of personal traits. The present study adopts a qualitative approach, employing critical readings of literary texts and drawing upon contemporary theoretical perspectives to conduct a comparative analysis of these works. The findings indicate that in Austen’s novels, love often facilitates social awareness and moral refinement of characters, whereas in Brontë’s works, love transcends social interactions and operates as a means of reinforcing women’s independence and self-consciousness. The experience of love in these novels contributes both to psychological growth and to the formation of women’s autonomous identities.</p> <p>عشق در رمان‌های کلاسیک به عنوان نیرویی تحول آفرین نه تنها تجریه‌های عاطفی شخصیت‌ها را شکل می‌دهد، بلکه عامل اصلی رشد هویتی و اخلاقی آنان نیز هست. این مقاله با تمرکز بر چهار رمان، اما و غرور و تعصب از آستن و جین ایر و ویلت از برونته، یررسی می‌کند که چگونه عشق به عنوان محرکی برای خودشناسی، شکل گیری هویت زنانه و ارتقای ویژگی‌های شخصیتی عمل می‌کند. پژوهش حاضر با رویکردی کیفی، از طریق خوانش انتقادی متون ادبی و بهره‌گیری از دیدگاه‌های نظری معاصر به تحلیل تطبیقی این آثار می‌پردازد و نشان می‌دهد که در آثار آستن، عشق غالبا" زمینه ساز آگاهی اجتماعی و اصلاح اخلاقی شخصیت هاست، در حالیکه در آثار برونته، عشق فراتر از تعاملات اجتماعی، ابزاری برای تقویت استقلال و خودآگاهی زنان محسوب می‌شود. تجربه عاشقانه در این رمان‌ها، هم موجب رشد روانی می‌شود و هم به شکل‌گیری هویت مستقل زنان کمک می‌کند.</p> https://www.jtpll.com/index.php/jtpll/article/download/286/209
